Purpose Statement

In line with the legal requirement for B Corporations in Australia, the following statement is true for Sample Coffee Roasters Pty Ltd (embedded in the company constitution), Sample Coffee and Sample Brew Crew Pty Ltd:

1. The purpose of the companies/organisations is to deliver returns to shareholders whilst having an overall positive impact on society and the environment.

2. The directors or other officers must consider:

   1. the likely consequences of any decision or act of the company in the long term; and the interests of the company’s employees; and

   2. the need to foster the company’s business relationships with suppliers, customers and others; and

   3. the impact of the company’s operations on the community and the environment; and the desirability of the company maintaining a reputation for high standards of business conduct; and

   4. the interests of the members of the company; and

   5. the ability of the company to create an overall positive impact on society and the environment;
