# Purpose Statement

In line with [the legal requirement for B Corporations in Australia](https://www.bcorporation.com.au/legal-requirement),  the following statement is true for Sample Coffee Roasters Pty Ltd (embedded in the company constitution), Sample Coffee and Sample Brew Crew Pty Ltd:

1. **The purpose of the companies/organisations is to deliver returns to shareholders whilst having an overall positive impact on society and the environment.**<br>
2. **The directors or other officers must consider:**
   1. **the likely consequences of any decision or act of the company in the long term; and the interests of the company’s employees; and**
   2. **the need to foster the company’s business relationships with suppliers, customers and others; and**
   3. **the impact of the company’s operations on the community and the environment; and the desirability of the company maintaining a reputation for high standards of business conduct; and**
   4. **the interests of the members of the company; and**
   5. **the ability of the company to create an overall positive impact on society and the environment;**
